My love of gardening began as a child when I watched my father tend to his own garden. As I became a mother, expecting my first born, I developed my 1st garden vowing to create a love of gardening for my own children. Three children later, (ages 2, 4, & 6) My kids love to pick raw vegetables and eat them straight off the vine. 

While my passion in gardening grew along with my children, so did my passion in education. I am a certified ESL EC-6 teacher with experience teaching 3rd & 4th grade math and science. While teaching I earned my masters in educational leadership from SFA. I then obtained my principal certification. After, I became a math/science instructional specialist at Wilson Elementary.

 

My passion in education and gardening fuels Texmexgardener School Gardens. My goal with Texmexgardener is to create a love of growing while also helping students succeed in the classroom.
